Privacy Policy
Last updated August 30, 2026
Stack is a financial-literacy learning app built by Evergreen Web Studios. This policy describes exactly what the app collects, why it needs it, and how to get rid of it. It is short because Stack collects very little.
What Stack collects
Only what an account needs to work:
- Your email address — used to sign you in, to confirm your account, and to send account-related email such as a password reset. Stack does not send marketing email.
- A display name — whatever you choose to be called in the app. It is shown only to you.
- Your password — stored only as a salted hash by our authentication provider. Nobody, including us, can read it.
- Your learning progress — which lessons you have completed and when, plus the XP total and day streak derived from them.
- If you sign in with Google — the email address and name on that Google account, and nothing else. Stack does not read your Google contacts, calendar, files, or anything besides the identity needed to sign you in.
What Stack does not collect
- No advertising identifiers, and no advertising of any kind.
- No third-party analytics or tracking SDKs. Stack does not track you across other apps or websites, and does not ask for permission to, because it has no use for it.
- No location data, contacts, photos, microphone or camera access.
- No payment information — Stack is free and has no purchases.
- No financial account data. Stack never connects to a bank, and never asks for account numbers. Everything in the lessons, including the pay-stub exercise, uses made-up numbers.
Where it is stored
Account and progress data is stored in a Postgres database hosted by Supabase, our backend provider, and is protected by row-level security rules so that each account can only ever read and write its own rows. Traffic between the app and that database is encrypted in transit.
Stack does not sell your data, rent it, or share it with advertisers or data brokers — it is shared only with the infrastructure providers named here that are required to run the service.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time from inside the app: open the Profile tab and choose Delete account.
Deletion is immediate and permanent. It removes your login, your display name, your email address, and your entire lesson history. It is not a deactivation, there is no waiting period, and the data cannot be recovered afterward — including by us. If you would rather delete your account by email, write to support@stack-app.app from the address on the account.
How long data is kept
Until you delete it. Stack keeps your account and progress for as long as the account exists, because that history is the product — your streak and your completed lessons. Once you delete the account, it is gone.
Children
Stack teaches personal finance and is written to be useful to teenagers and adults, but it is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us at support@stack-app.app and we will remove it.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a way that affects what is collected or how it is used, the date at the top of this page will change and the updated policy will be posted here before the change takes effect.
